In most Russian universities, instruction is delivered in Russian. Some universities offer programmes taught in English, but their tuition fees are typically significantly higher. Choosing an English‑language programme, however, means forgoing a key advantage: the in‑depth acquisition of the Russian language, which enhances your competitiveness in the job market regardless of your level of education.

We’re sorry to inform you that international payment cards are currently not accepted in Russia. Don’t worry, though — just bring some cash for your first few days. Once you arrive, we’ll help you open a Russian bank account and get a local card. It will make paying for goods and services throughout the country quick and easy!

Planning to visit in September or October? You don’t need any special clothes for that time of year. But if you’re coming in November or during the winter, make sure to pack warm layers — Russian winters can get very cold!
Don’t worry if you need extra warm clothes: once you arrive, you can shop at local stores. They offer a great selection of winter gear, so finding the right outfit won’t be a problem.

Please note: student dormitory accommodation is not part of the tuition package. You’ll need to pay for it separately — the monthly fee is around 20–40 USD. Once you arrive in Russia and move into the dorm, you’ll make the payment directly to the university.

Please ensure you have sufficient funds to cover these expenses:

• Hotel stay before moving into the university dormitory (if required).
• Dormitory accommodation fees.
